About ENTSO-E

ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 39 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 35 countries. The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels provides support on technical, market and policy developments for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfilment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with EU decision-makers, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders.

Job description

We are looking for a highly professional and skilled Cybersecurity Specialist, passionate about the European electricity market and the energy transition. You will work in the ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels in the ICT Governance & Architecture section, reporting directly to the IT Security Team Manager. As a vital part of our ICT Governance & Architecture section, you will contribute directly to implementing and monitoring information security policies, processes, and controls, managing phishing campaigns, and supporting cybersecurity awareness programs among other responsibilities.

Working at ENTSO-E means actively participating in ensuring the security of supply and contributing to the development of the world's largest integrated electricity market. In this role, you are expected to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to evolving environments quickly.

You will provide necessary support to other colleagues in the section, as well cooperate across other sections in the Secretariat. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work to support a good work-life balance.

 Occasional travels may be required (e.g. 1-2 days per month).

Your responsibilities

You will contribute to the Association work mainly in the areas of cybersecurity.  Responsibilities may be subject to change depending on the evolution of priorities and projects.

  • Implementation and monitoring of information security policy processes and controls.
  • Support the cyber security awareness programme (give trainings and awareness sessions to staff, prepare awareness documents).
  • Manage phishing campaigns using phishing platform.
  • Participate to the continuous improvement of the information security management system (ISMS): establishment of new information security policies and processes, update and improve the current policies and procedures.
  • Participate to cyber incident management processes.
  • Assist in disaster recovery plans, processes and crisis exercises.
  • Support the activities in the secure software development lifecycle management.
  • Gathering information and providing feedback and updates to various internal bodies and Stakeholders when and if needed.
  • Supporting the Project Team in regards of administrative day-to-day work when needed.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with the following skills and abilities:

  • University degree in IT or related field, with strong interest and knowledge of cybersecurity.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in IT security environments.
  • Good knowledge of information security standards as ISO 27001, 27002 and/or legal measures as the NIST directive.
  • Project management capabilities, with attention to details and ability to reach consensus is needed.
  • Experience with administrative work is consider as a plus.
  • Advanced analytical skills and structured problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently and team setting with competing deadlines.
  • Motivation to work within a multinational and multicultural professional environment.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English.
